As self-described Rick’s better half, Sandi accepted Rick’s marriage proposal at

the end of Laura’s Ride West Coast on Rosarito Beach where they were married

in February 2020.

After having supported the four previous Laura’s Rides by caring for the

homestead and various social media postings while Rick was gone for two

months at a time, Sandi is joining Laura’s Ride 5 as the support vehicle’s driver

and

Sky, our 4 yo American Bulldog, is providing important support for this

ride: he is coming with us. His coming along together with Sandi will

eliminate two significant elements of Rick’s homesickness during the

two months away from home. (It won’t totally eliminate it because we

aren’t able to bring our kids, grandkids, friends, Bear and Calle, our cats,

and Buttons, our Lesser Sulfur Crested Cockatoo,
